I hate to say, “Every gal needs ____ “, but a pair of good quality black pumps is high on my list of wardrobe staples — and I’m sure it doesn’t take a lot of imagination to see why:
- black because you can wear them with a lot of stuff
- pumps because they’re dressy and make you look thinner
- and quality because you want them to be comfortable and last through so much wear
But you don’t have to “invest” in a pair of Manolos to get quality shoes. This leather pair from Isaac Mizrahi is now on sale for just $14.99, and got great reviews!
Don’t forget, the brown pair is still on sale for $7.49! At that price, you can get both pairs for less than $30!
Sizes 5.5-12 available; ships to the U.S. and APO/FPO addresses.

Remember these super sexy boots? Well, my mom did get them for me after all — and I love them! I’m not exaggerating when I say that strangers have come up to me just to ask where they could get a pair!
So, for all of those who have asked me where they could get them, or for those who just missed them the first time around, I’ve got great news: they’re now available for just $119.97! That’s down another $20, for a total discount of just over $75! Plus shipping is free within the U.S.!
They ship worldwide and sizes 5.5-10 are available.

You may already know that leather is a sign of quality when it comes to shoes, but did you know that it is possible to get brand new, leather shoes that are comfortable and stylish for less than $10!
At the original list price of $29.99, these brown leather shoes would have been yet another great bargain from Isaac Mizrahi. On clearance for $7.49, they’re a steal!
But how comfortable could they be at that price? The reviews are absolutely glowing and one happy wearer calls them “the most comfortable heels EVER.”
And of course, the simple style and neutral color ensure that you’ll find plenty of excuses to wear them.
They’re currently available in sizes 6-12 and ship to the U.S. and APO/FPO addresses.

Looking for the perfect pair of pumps to wear with slacks? Pointy-toe pumps will make your legs look longer and leaner — but some extreme styles look too comical to wear if you want to be taken serious.
For the perfect pair of pumps to wear to the office, I recommend these Bandolino Paskel tailored pumps. The toe is blunted at the very end, making them look sophisticated, not painful. And in fact, both reviewers say that they are all-day comfortable and look great.
They’re available in two styles of black, as well as gray fabric. Of course, black will look great with black slacks, but if you have a pair of gray slacks, the gray would be the perfect choice to make your legs appear even longer.
Sizes range from 6 to 11 and some size/color combinations are on sale for as low as $20.99.
They ship to the U.S. and APO/FPO addresses and are eligible for Amazon’s Super Saver Shipping.

Green may be the top color of the season, but orange is a close second and is a great color to add some real pop to your wardrobe.
Orange is generally harder to wear than green, but don’t let that stop you. If you love orange but think that it doesn’t love you, check out How to work difficult colors into your wardrobe. (Hint: Accessories, accessories, accessories!) And for lots of orange inspiration, take a look at Kasmira’s outfits that include orange at What I Wore Today.
If orange is a flattering color on you, then now is the time to stock up because it’s rare that you’ll see this much of it.
Now, onto the bargains!

My final shoe pick is this pair of orange wedge sandals by Easy Spirit. They’d look lovely with a flirty spring skirt and they’re also available in natural and black. They’re now on sale for $46.99, down from $84.95.

As much as I love colorful shoes, I have about half a dozen pairs of black heels. Why? Because it’s hard to go wrong with black and yet each pair adds something a bit different to an outfit.
Take these gorgeous heels from Kenneth Cole, for example. The delicate ankle strap, slim heel, and black velvet are all pretty feminine details that make it a great pair to soften the look of power suit or to complement a flirty dress.
Compare them to these recently featured peep-toe pumps which take feminine to whole other level with pom-pom flowers. They’re still perfect to wear with that flirty dress, but might not work as well with the power suit.
Both are both available and still on sale. The Kenneth Cole heels are now $139.99, down from $195 — and they ship worldwide. Sizes 5.5-10 are available.

By the looks of it, patent leather has stopped being a trend and is now a closet staple — which is more than fine by me.
Black and red look great in patent, but why stop there? These Angela pumps from Jill Stuart are available in electric blue and passion purple, in addition to mascara black. They’re ’40s inspired and feature a nice wingtip style that adds a subtle texture.
They’re also half off — $164 instead of $328.
Sizes 6-10 are available with a few exceptions. They ship worldwide and ground shipping is free to the U.S.

According to Angie at YouLookFab, the hottest color of the season is going to be green, followed by orange.
Wearing more green was actually one of my New Year’s resolutions, because it’s a lovely color that is underused in my wardrobe and many others’.
Fortunately, green is generally an easy color to wear. While yellow greens like lime green can make some people look sallow, dark greens like hunter green don’t have the same effect. If you’re still longing for lime, rest assured that anyone can wear yellow greens if they know how to work difficult colors in your wardrobe.
With that in mind, here are some green bargains that will have your friends equally green.
Accessories
An easy way to incorporate any color into your wardrobe is through accessories since you can get more use out of them per week than clothing and accessories usually last a lot longer.
Shoes

Nice green shoes are hard to find, but I’ve found three pairs.
These Hasper mesh peep toe pumps from Jessica Simpson are available in three colors, including a lovely kelly green. They’re available in sizes 5.5-11 and vary in price from $55.27 to $79.99.
These Naughty Monkey Candyland pumps are equally fun in a white and green floral design. They’re available in sizes 6-10 and are also available in black/white and red/white. They vary in price from $72.47 - $74.95.
If you want shoes that really stand out, then check out these Alanie pumps from Chinese Laundry. While also available in white and yellow, the green is particularly fun because the fish scale texture of the leather makes them look like dragon skin. They’re available in sizes 6-10, for $79.95 - $89.95.
Jewelry

This wavy aventurine bracelet is a neat piece that is beautiful, too. It’s just $18.95 and ships worldwide.
Or if you want something more classic, take a look at this sterling silver bracelet made with green Milano glass Swarovski crystal. It’s on sale for 50% and is now just $28.99. Plus it also ships worldwide.
Bags

With clutches so popular nowadays, why not go with a green clutch like this Sasha leather wristlet clutch from Via Spiga. The hunter green is lovely, though it is also available in black and grey. It’s now just $69.99, down from $120.
Of course, you can’t fit a laptop in a clutch, so take a look at this gorgeous satin brocade laptop bag from Mango Tango. It’s a refreshing alternative to all those boring black laptop bags and it’s just $84.
Clothes
Looking to get into more green?
Tops

This green long-sleeve turtleneck from Mossimo is now just $6.29. It’s available in sizes X-small to XX-large in juniors.
If your complexion can handle a nice yellow-green, go ahead and enjoy this silk trapunto stitch blouse from INC International Concepts. It’s on sale for $38.81, down from $69. It’s available in sizes 2-8.
Dresses

Green also makes a wonderful color for dresses. I know because I have one that wear all the time.
This jersey wrap dress from BCBG Max Azria would make lovely dress for day and night whether you get the forest green or the navy. It’s $108, 40% off the list price of $180, and it’s available in sizes X-small to large.
Of course, green works great with other colors, as evident in this charmeuse, flutter-sleeve dress in a green and aqua print. It’s only available in sizes 7-11, but it’s on sale for $13.99.
Going green
Green isn’t just a trendy color this season, it’s also a lifestyle trend that’s catching on thanks in part to products that make it easier to help the planet. So, if you haven’t already, make sure to check out my recent post on eco-friendly shopping bags.
As you can see, I’m excited by all the green available this season, but how do you feel about its rise to trendiness? How do you wear green most often?

Nine West knows that a great style is worth repeating in several colors. That’s why this Jojus d’Orsay pump is available in no less than five, from black to bronze snake print.
And the lovely dark gray satin is just the thing when you want a neutral shoe that’s not quite as harsh as full on black.
The sizes available vary by color, but range from size 6 to size 11. The price also varies between $47.90 and $79.95 depending on size and color.
Ships to the U.S. and APO/FPO addresses.
